Here’s the revised blog post for iOS 18:
Apple’s iOS 18 Update: What’s New with My Apps?
Apple dropped its latest version of iOS, the software that powers your iPhone and iPad: iOS 18!
Thankfully, the update didn’t cause many issues with my apps.
Here’s the current compatibility with iOS 18:
Daily Sage:
Version 1.6.2 operates normally on iOS 15, 16, 17, and now iOS 18 (on iPhone and iPad).
While I hoped to introduce new features in 2023, things didn’t go as planned. However, I’m optimistic those updates will debut in 2024! 🤞🏻
TimeCruncher:
Unfortunately, the current version remains incompatible with iOS 15, 16, 17, and now iOS 18. 😒
I’m still working on the update, but it’s taken a backseat to some other priorities.
Version 2 is being completely rewritten with an all-new design. TimeCruncher 2.0 will comply with Apple’s latest standards and include some of the most requested features when released. 🥳
If you’d like to be notified when it’s available, you can sign up for my (occasional) email updates. Just use the sign-up form on the right-hand side of this post. 👉🏻
Thanks for your patience, and stay tuned for more!
In September, Apple dropped its latest iOS update: iOS 17!
I apologize for not posting an update sooner. It’s been a little nutty. 😵💫
Thankfully, the update didn’t cause a lot of issues with my apps; here’s the current compatibility with iOS 17…

Last week a few of you may have noticed that some of Daily Sage’s morning notifications failed to arrive on your iPhones and iPads. This resulted from some unexpected changes made to the backend server we utilize to handle and distribute our app’s notifications worldwide.
We are working with our provider to fix the issue, but could use your help.
If you have a moment, please fill out this brief survey. Your participation will help us better troubleshoot any ongoing issues and will improve the user experience, overall.
Thank you, in advance.
Version 1.6.2 of our Daily Sage app is now available for immediate download on both iPhone and iPad. 😎
Some users reported issues signing into the app even with an active subscription. Sign-in issues should be resolved with v1.6.2. If you identify any new bugs, please let us know.
For most users, your iOS device will automatically download and update your app, so no further action is required. IF you have automatic updates turned OFF, you can (easily) force the update to install:
On your iOS device Tap & Open the App Store. Then tap your name or avatar in the upper right corner > Scroll down to Updates (and look for Daily Sage. If the button to the right says “Update,” tap to update. If the button says “Open,” your app is up to date.
If you are still experiencing sign-in issues with v1.6.2, please let us know.
If you have a friend or loved one that you think might also enjoy our app, please share it.
As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to inspiring you, every day, in the future.
hAPPy Monday!
Apple released iOS 13 in late September.
Here is a list of all of our apps and their compatibility with iOS 13.
Daily Sage:
We are finishing work on our next, supplemental release version 1.6 (for both iPhone and iPad). It will include a host of bug fixes and compatibility with iOS 13’s “Dark Mode.” We hope to have it released and on your iOS devices by the end of this month.
TimeCruncher:
We’re working on a major update to our popular TimeCruncher app. Until it’s ready, the current version (tho not optimized for the iPhone X series) is 64-bit and will run on any iOS13 compatible device.
Knowtify:
Though not optimized for the iPhone X series, Knowtify is also 64-bit and will run on any iOS13 compatible device.
Spam Alert:
After much debate, we have decided to retire our first “flagship” app: Spam Alert. Originally designed to quell the onslaught of telemarketing, political and other spam phone calls (to mobile), Spam Alert blocked more than 1,700 offensive numbers and has helped thousands of users avoid harassing phone calls, every day.
Mobile carriers are getting more aggressive (thanks to government and FCC legislation in the USA) in preventing spam calls. Apple’s iOS 13 now has an option to “mute” unknown callers and there are now dozens of apps that promise to help you block or stop
POPtorious! & POP Jr!:
Unfortunately, POPtorious (our first app!) and its sister app, POP Jr!, both need adjustments before they will be ready to take advantage of iOS 13. We hope to make those adjustments soon, but have removed the apps from sale until that time. At this time, we do not have a timeline for when these apps will be updated & re-released.
As always, we thank you for your support and appreciate your patience as we update our existing app portfolio.
We have lots of exciting updates and new apps on our roadmap and we look forward to sharing them ALL with you!
Good news: Version 1.5 of our popular Daily Sage app is now compatible with iOS 12 and the iPhone X Series. It is available for immediate download. 😎
Additionally, Daily Sage now brings native compatibility to those without an iPhone ––– v1.5 is now “universal” and can be downloaded and enjoyed on any supported iPad. 🙌🏻🎉 The iPad version is free for existing subscribers and just 99¢ a day or $9.99 (US) a year for new users.
We’ve also cleared thru all your feedback and are confident that we’ve killed all the reported bugs marring your app experience. If you identify any new bugs, please let us know. 🐛🚫
Now, some “bad” news (it’s not that bad, promise!):
Unfortunately, the backend server we utilize to send your daily inspiration has dramatically increased the cost of their services. Maintaining daily operations for our app comes at a cost and this new increase has driven up operation costs by more than 150%!! 😳
At first, we thought we’d have to raise the cost of Daily Sage, but are now happy to report that prices will stay the same thru the year (2018). The price for new users will likely increase in the new year. Those new prices are still TBD.
To help compensate for the rate increase, we’re switching the servers that deliver your inspirational notices (each day). We’re confident that the new servers will deliver the same reliable experience you’ve come to expect from our app, without interruption.
That said, installing this update is crucial:
Starting November 1, 2018, users who have not updated to version 1.5 will no longer receive daily notifications. 😢
For most users, your iOS device will automatically download and update your app, so no further action is required. IF you have automatic updates turned OFF or your device hasn’t received the automatic update before October 31, 2018, you can (easily) force the update to install: On your iOS device Tap & Open the App Store > Updates (bottom of the screen) > Daily Sage > Update.
We apologize for any inconvenience this update may cause and hope you continue to enjoy receiving life’s best advice, every morning. If you have a friend or loved one that you think might also enjoy our app, please share it.
As always, we appreciate your support and look forward to inspiring you, every day, in the future.
